Changes to Moodle Logins and Passwords

The [hopefully] last big change to Moodle this year is upon us: we are now setting Moodle to accept your email username and password instead of requiring separate credentials.  It's our hope that this will make logging in and accessing your courses easier.  On the flip side, this means you need to treat your passwords with extra care, as it's one more account compromised should something happen to it.

Make sure you are enrolled in our password management site!  After your account is switched over, this is where you will change or reset your password to access Moodle as needed.

Faculty and staff will be switched over first.  Next will be the on-campus students.  Online students, in order not to interfere with your current courses, your accounts will not be affected until after Session 6 ends on August 15.

Progress will be noted below.  During the switch, if you are unable to log into Moodle using your old credentials, try using your email password.  Conversely, if your email password does not work, try using your old Moodle password.

Any questions, let the Moodle admins know here or at moodle(at)mac(dot)edu.  Thanks for your patience.
